There’s a piece of dialogue in the movie “Wall Street” (1987), where Hal Holbrook’s character says: “Man looks in the abyss. There’s nothing staring back at him. At that moment, man finds his character, and that is what keeps him out of the abyss.” For so many of us – myself included – it is so true: we needed to hit ‘rock bottom’ before we could find our true character and climb out of the hole. For others, their true character comes naturally and there are no such severe trials. Read more... (1326 words, 5 images, estimated 5:18 mins reading time)
We live in a time of fast-paced, seemingly insensitive, frenzy; it is, in fact, sensory-overload. It can be a challenge to keep up with the world around us, let alone get ahead and build an abundant life. I’m not just talking about money either. I am speaking about true abundance, across the board, in all areas of life; a balanced and happy lifetime – of course not without its minor challenges – that moves steadily along, accumulating a life of plenty. Given the frantic world and all the demands of life, how does one enjoy a life of “getting there” and employ a natural transition into a comfortable retirement? Read more... Real and true Abundance – across the board in all areas of life – means that we are placing a top priority on abundance within our relationships. Yes, this is your significant other or spouse, and it is also all the rest of the people in your life! Relationships take effort, and yet the rewards are beyond measure.
Perhaps it is most healthy to view relationships in terms of a passionate investment of yourself in those around you. Although I use the term ‘investment’, this is not to imply that there is an expected reward, or that the ‘investment’ is made in order to gain a certain reward. Not at all. It means that you invest of yourself primarily for their reward. Read more... (1241 words, 5 images, estimated 4:58 mins reading time)
As an “Abundant Life Coach” I get asked about the meaning of “financial abundance” very often. What this means to you can be the difference between living the lifestyle of your dreams, or settling for something less than your dreams. I want you to live the life of your dreams!
Here, then, are the main 5 Factors of Financial Abundance:
“The Abundant Mindset”
Thousands upon thousands of books, articles, media, programs, and so much more have been produced that discuss the awesome power of our minds, and the influence of our thinking upon our lives. It is difficult to say enough or emphasize enough that truth. As I see it, we are exactly as we think. Read more... (723 words, 5 images, estimated 2:54 mins reading time)
In my lower-middle-class youth, I was raised to discuss money almost never; money was mostly to be associated with all the evils of the world. As a result of my childhood, I came to hold internal conflicting messages about having money, which made it tough to go out into the world and build abundance.
As I reach the age of fifty, my money intelligence has evolved, of course. I no longer regard money as evil. Just as a gun becomes evil in the wrong hands, so it is with money. How we go about earning it, keeping it, and using it is what truly counts in the end run. Now that may sound elementary, but the implications are many. Read more... Despite all the millions of articles, studies, advice, and other “stuff”, it is not rocket science; staying happily married is much easier when you are true to the 7 vows I will share with you. And I warn you: if you see yourself failing in any of these 7 vows, you either have intensive work to do, or you should not be married! I will add that the success of the traditional vows we take on the day we marry – each of those vows – are made possible by these 7 vows. Read more... Depression and having extreme difficulty is a natural and normal fact of life that most of us will deal with either continuously, or at one point or another. This is a very serious condition; it is an illness that often leads to death when untreated.
We live in a fast-paced, fast-food, fast-business, high-stress society. Each new generation faces ever-increasing variables. It is no wonder that people are born with brain-chemical imbalances and/or predisposition for depression…or worse.

I love to get movie DVDs that have an additional disc of just special features! Last night I watched all the documentaries about Howard Hughes, from the DVD “The Aviator”. The special features almost always contain tidbits of this idea or that idea that went into making the film. So often these features are inspiring and are just one place to trigger ideas of my own. So much has been written about success. So many success programs, books, CDs, and other media exist on the subject. A Google search (06.29.10) on the keyword “success” returns over 335-million results.
The term is like one tiny star in the cosmos.
I think it’s safe to say that ‘success’ is/has been an over-used word throughout our human world and throughout (recorded) history.
It’s also fair to say that success means something different for each and every person, and yet most would agree that a simple and accurate definition might be: to obtain a desired result (or set of results). Read more... (1208 words, 5 images, estimated 4:50 mins reading time)

Human beings are historically mixed-up, embarrassed, ignorant, and hypocritical about sexuality. So many people have noted, for example, on national network television that we will show much more graphic violence than we will graphic sex, although the boundaries are continually more and more blurred. The taboos, customs, and traditions surrounding sexual matters have evolved and changed drastically from culture to culture and millennia to millennia. What was against the rules at one time is no longer. Read more... (356 words, 5 images, estimated 1:25 mins reading time)
